Boofar these are the Husqvarna brand bar end mirrors I ordered. They are universal left/ right. You’ll need to order two of them from the link below as they are sold as one. I received them within a week.
Shifting into first – Stop the Noise: Just lightly tap/rev the engine to 3500-4000 and then a second later shift and the noise is gone. I had the same issue and blipping the throttle syncs the gears and it drops into first smoothly.
Clutch is working fine 🙂 It’s a single so it has to be above 4000rpm to be happy.
NOTE: After 620 miles/ 1000k…[Read more]
Just coming up on 1000km 620miles. The full big Repair Manual doesn’t say either. Looked for 30 minutes and couldn’t find it. After looking at the Motorcycle.com dyno chart I’m going to set RPM1 (light flashing) somewhere between 7800-8000rpm and RPM2 (light on solid) somewhere between 8400-8700rpm. I’ll report back 😉

I agree with the replies.
- Replace the battery.
- Check the battery connections to the battery and to the frame.
- Check wiring carefully. Make sure every plug is seated firmly.
- Check wiring for a small cut or break in a wire.
- Replace ECU.
- Replace Battery, ECU, & Wiring harness.
- If all of that doesn’t work, exchange the bike.
It’s under warranty just have the dealer fix it. It’s most likely something simple.
But if not here’s what I would do.
- Check the Side Stand Sensor plug connection. Follow the side stand switch wire up and you should see the plug. Make sure it’s firmly connected.
- Disconnect Negative terminal on the battery, wait 1 minute and reconnect. See if…
Husqvarna Bar End Mirrors with Stock Bar End Weights MOD
When you remove the stock bar end weights there is a long brass weight inside the bar. The Husqvarna Bar End Mirrors don’t use this weight. Instead they use universal multipart lightweight mounting hardware. I knew this was going to increase bar vibration. So I modified my stock bar weight…[Read more]
Husky Bar End Mirror with Stock Bar End Weight MOD

1. I removed the OEM…[Read more]
2020 Vitpilen 701 | LeoVince De-Cat | Stock exhaust.
I emailed Leo Vince and asked them if I needed to add an ECU or remap. They told me NO and that the De-Cat with the stock exhaust (no other mods) wouldn’t harm my engine. They emailed me back the same day (pretty cool!). So I installed it and it seems almost the exact same. Just a tiny bit more…[Read more]
Thanks Max. My local KTM Husqvarna dealer has the Husqvarna 701 ABS Dongle Part #27012953000 in stock. They said they would let me test it out this week. I’ll report back.
The part number Max used is discontinued but it can be found. There’s the Husky Part# above and a new KTM 790 etc one. If I can try both the Husky and the new KTM one I will.
Max you tried part# 60312953500 on your Vitpilen 701. What year Vitpilen? I know that part number is for an Adventure KTM model.
Has anyone tried the Husqvarna 701 ABS Dongle Part #27012953000
2020 Vitpilen 701
I was able to get a downloadable PDF from KTM/ Husquvarna’s site. It cost me $32 US. It gives you the option to buy a hard copy, PDF & Hard, or PDF only.
After I completed the payment at the end it gave me a link to download it.
