<p style=”text-align: right;”>Lol, read my mind with this post.</p>
So I just dropped off my bike at Dealer, I’m in San Diego. 6k mile service comes to a grand total quote of $888.64 dollars!
I do have an aftermarket air filter so once I pick up the bike they will discount whatever they didn’t use or do.
I don’t have a copy of the detailed…[Read more]
I have a yamaha WR250F for off roading, and I have my Vitpilen 701 for street riding.
I feel no difference between the two in respect to vibrations.
I can feel that when I do full open throttle acceleration my WR250F feels like a toy bike compared to my 701.
Before my 701 I owned a Ducati Sixty9, which is a twin engine bike.
The only…[Read more]
I just ordered it too!, only the belly plate was on back order, I actually think they weld it there themselves so they r just catching up with orders. They quoted me may 28th for shipping date.
well actually what i would like to see is anyone who actually has the kit installed post some kind of review/impressions of what they think of it. Was it…[Read more]
Yes, that is why I made the comment, that no more 120-140 range is ever going to show on the cluster. Because of the new reduced tank, it will only ever say 90-110 of range
when you get your new tank, your 120-140 will also never be seen again.
Picked up my 701 today!
they gave it to me with a fresh full tank of gas, and now, instead of saying 120 miles to empty, it says 90! with a full tank.
Now I wont be able to do a full ride without stopping from San Diego to Los Angeles… 😛
Sucks that the fix had to be a smaller tank…
Just got the call from the dealer, I can pick up mine tomorrow Tuesday 7/28
It took them nearly 10 days, because there was a delay with the delivery of the tank, or so they claim.
will update once I pick it up.
I also received a second letter from Husqvarna on the mail 2 days ago, follow up letter to the original recall.
Glad it didn’t happen while you were riding!
By the way, I like your mirrors, do they still become useless after 5k rpm? I’m still using the OEM, but have been looking to change them out with something that actually works.
Update on my side as well, I dropped off my bike at the dealer 2 days ago, and I requested an electronic invoice so I can share it with all of you.
Under the scope of work, this is the communication language between Husqvarna and the dealers:
FUEL TANK REPLACEMENT HTB2012
FUEL TANK REPLACEMENT – REMEDY REPAIR FOR FUEL SEEPAGE AT THE…[Read more]
I’m in San Diego, California. I contacted GP Moto, and they gave me an appointment for July 8th, I sent them the letter I received from Husky USA, regarding the recall.
They did not seem to know about it either.
While my bike has not shown a leak where there is a puddle of gas on the floor, I have noticed that when the tank is not full, and I…[Read more]
Hey all, that’s good that we are finally getting to the point of a real fix to this issue.
I guess we all better call our dealers and setup up appointments to get the tanks swapped, even if there are bikes which have not leaked, trust me when I tell you, you definitely don’t want it to leak while you are riding.
So make an appointment for the…[Read more]
yeah, it very scary, ,what if it starts leaking while we are riding, and then the gas ignites because of the hot exhaust…
I’ve had recalls on my cars, but I had never seen a recall where they tell you that something major could happen, but they don’t know how to fix it, stand by, and if it happens to you in the mean time, then you are out of…[Read more]
I live in California, and I just received in the mail a RECALL letter from Husqvarna and the NHTSA.
In the letter Husqvarna explains that all 701 vitpilen and/or svartpilen are susceptible to a sudden GAS LEAK.
It states that if and when the leak happens, you must stop riding the bike and get it towed to the dealer.
What is crazy is…[Read more]
Funny that you mention this. I had my first service done at 700 miles.
Today by chance, I saw something shinny at the bottom of the bike. As I inspected closer, I realized it was the sight glass, it was solve shinny! No oil at all, as the bike was warming up, I shook the bike left and right, and nothing ever came close to the sight glass, c…[Read more]
Wow! Tori, this was an amazing experience! I’ve had my vitpilen since April 2019, and I cant ride even 1/4 as good as you on that video!
I do have many questions for you:
1) Did you change the suspension settings on your vitpilen?
2) I noticed you have the catted aftermarket exhaust system, are you using a tune? Can you really notice the d…[Read more]
This has happened on mine too, I am not on mile 570 so still very low milage, but I thought it was just the excess Grease that is on the Chain which comes with it from the factory. It should go away after riding it for several hundreds of miles.
This shouldn’t mean there is anything leaking, it’s simply the grease on the chain getting hot whe…[Read more]

Does anyone know if the US Version comes with different Turning signals than the Euro version??
I can see that the bikes in Europe have small profile LED turning signal lights, however here in the USA, we have horrible FAT and old halogen turning signal lights!
anyone know of a conversion kit??
