Just saw that Husqvarna has released a new accessory part for the Vitpilen 401.

Is this cover compatible and works with the original seat or is it meant to be fitted with the new “Style seat”?

They don’t mention any requirement. I assume it fits on top of the stock seat.

    I guess so to.

I will order and give it a try

I’m also wondering about what it will look like when fitted. Seems to me that it “slides” over the passenger seat from the back and leaves open the back of the seat with the embossed Husqvarna script.

What I found out is that it should be available from Dec. 4th and cost from 120 Euros (Romanian site) to 120 GBP (British site). Not cheap for (presumably) a piece of plastic – but what genuine parts are really cheap for this bike anyway?

Looks to me as the original stock seat with the pillion seat cover?

I think it’s the new style seat when zoomed in

We all clearly recognize the stock seat here :

Just as I imagined – the back of the seat with the Husqvarna logo script is left open with this cover. Personally I had preferred a complete cover.

But what caught my attention was the headlight cover fitted. Looks VERY much like the jimmygalactic item featured in the topic below… Is this supposed to become an official Husqvarna part? I’m just wondering because yellow headlights should be illegal in most European countries by now unless it’s a historic vehicle as yellow headlights used to be standard at least in France until the early 90s.

Yesterday I took emergency lane to avoid traffic jam around Brussels, policeman on motorcycle asked me to come back into jam… made me understand that decat/removing db killer can cost me, gave me a 👍 for the 401 and wished me a good day… 😁

Wow how luck you are. Here in Paris you get a fine. However you can get away with it if you don’t rev it like a knob.

I’m I the only one who think there is something strange with stock colors…?

Is the cover available from Husqvarna dealerships by now?
