    Hi,

    I’m from Catalonia, and I stil enjoing a 690 SMC-R 2012.

But I’m trying to buy a second hand 701 Vitpilen 2019.

I would to know which brand and model the OEM battery equipes the 701, becouse I want to replace for a lithium version (the battery of second hand 701 is dead).

And also to know how many teeth have the rear sprocket.

This forum is very interesting, thanks for your help.

Stock rear sprocket is a 40 tooth, but the question is if you want that. The “ideal” gearing for this bike is 15-42.

As for the battery, I believe it’s the same model as for a Duke 690 R, a fairly common type for KTMs.

The ktm/husq battery code is not the same, this is why I ask in the forum which brand and type fits your 701.

I will wish to short a little bit the gearing, one 42 it will good. The OEM chain is enough long to fit the 42, or I must to change it ?

I have a Shorai LFX18A1-BS12 on my bike, which could actually be a bit overkill at 18AH, but it works perfectly, and still needs space fillers, so it’s not super big. Fits perfectly.
