Reservoir cap help

    The OEM husky brake reservoir and it seems like there’s something missing. Has anyone done this one yet. The cap won’t fit in place over the existing plastic/rubber membrane and I don’t think I should take it out. I don’t want to guess at this because brakes are important 😫. Please explain this to me.

     

    As you can see above, there is a part that protrudes deeper than the outer sealing face.  It won’t insert into the membrane, so..

    Ps. I know should have been wearing gloves. Pretty sure I’ll live.

    The oem part is made of three pieces, the cap, a plastic spacer and the membrane of sealing.

    If you use the smart husqy cap you must remove the plastic spacer

    @fred from France , of course! So simple. Thanks for the reply. I thought that might be it, but I figured I’d ask some more experienced guys, before I did something potentially dangerous.

    Its a really sharp looking detail of the handlebars. I wish I would have done this one sooner.
