Hey Paul, you might have a closer look.
It’s just the “real” plastic tank, without the silver covers…

    I see…

So you’re wrapping the silver tank covers? in matt black?

Would love to see what that looks like.

    Pls share when done

Just to prevent misunderstanding, thats not my bike.
But I am looking for same as you, would love to see full black..
Maybe buying plastic covers from a svartpilen 701 could be an option? Not the cheapest alternative, but you could change optic in a few minutes.

    Yes, see link as following.
Basically it seems you can get it as origin spare part at any Husky dealer.

    Online link

Edit: just seen, same part no as the ones for Vitpilen. Maybe for Svartpilen they spray the Vitpilen ones black as kind of additional production step?

Sorry guys for late respons. The panels nor the front fender has not returned from the firm that suppose to wrap it. Funny thing is that the “powerpart” panels is less then the original, and still i dont know if they are even painted. They are aprox 300euro per side!!! In the picture my bike is missing the panels and also the front fender.

And yes Im wraping the silver panels in matt black vinyl.

Also I fitted a Boosterplugg and got rid of the SAS system and canister. Cant wait to get it on the road let alone the track!!

Cheers , have al nice evening

    Looks great, mate. Couple questions.

Is your custom monoshock raising the rear or doing anything to geometry?

No plate solution at all, or did I miss it? No street riding?

The 690 crash bars, are they bolt on or did you have to do anything custom to install on the 701? Are those parts black or did you have to paint? Any chance of getting more photo angles of those?

Thanx. The shock is from a 690 Duke R 08 but its been completly rebuilt, its shortend a tiny bit but it is still a couple os mm longer than stock but i doubt i will notice. Its just a better shock with more adjustability.

Im not sure what plate solution I want but probably stick with the original but with a smaler plate….not sure.

Crashbar is from my 0ld 690 -12 and its black is the original coulor, not exacly the same but close enough. It fits bolt on yes.
