I’d appreciate some opinions on this.. brought my vit 401 in for its first service and mentioned to the dealership that there has been some oil on the forks. After performing the service, the dealership owner tells me they think it’s minor and doesn’t warrant changing the fork seals…

The bike is under warranty but it seems like they are trying to blow me off. Any suggestions? Does oil on the forks necessarily mean the seals are done?

Hey, I also have this problem with my left fork, it has started to leak onto the ground. I ordered the seals and oil however due to other issues I’m having right now, I’m going to have the dealership take care of it, hopefully with parts. As to the warranty I can’t say, I would contact Husky direct and ask them.

    Best of luck.

Update on my leaking fork seal, the dealer sent pics to see if it could be warrantied, and they covered half the labor to replace the bad one. I can’t say if they would cover parts costs but $35 instead of $70 is a win to me.
