The dealer I bought it from told me that they’ll charge about $200 for the first service and will “unlock” the bike because it’s limited to 80% power before the first service… Is that true or are they just bullshitting me?
Not sure about the 401 but the 690 at KTM’s factory sets the shift light to come on at 6000rpm so you don’t over rev it during run in, at the first service they remove it so you can set it higher. Of course it is only a light and not a limiter so during run in you can take it to red line whenever you want but it is advised not too. Maybe it is the same?
