I’m considering a Vitpilen for my first bike, but having not bought one before I’m really not sure what to expect when negotiating. I’ve read some articles and posts about it, but with all the shortages and price changes in the last few years, I don’t know if the info I’ve read is still relevant.

Anyone here recently purchase a new 401 in the US and can give insight into what they’re out of door cost was. I’d be purchasing in CA. I’d really like to be able to walk in with a firm amount to stick to.

I bought used 2020 for $5000k including registration and sales tax with 2k miles on it. I did ask around the new price and the lowest OTD quote was around $7100 to highest was around $7900. This is in WA. Depending on CA sales tax it’ll vary.

You can get a 2022 for 7k OTD easy.

I got my 2022 with the lowering kit installed for $7300 OTD

Just got a 2022 for $6700 OTD. Nearby dealership wanted $7300 OTD for a 2021. Shop around!
