ParticipantYou can take Universal kit with 3m sticker behind your phone…
the RAM Mount is very big and no aesthetic…

Participantdo you think 3M sticker is so strong? i don’t wanna lose my phone!!

I also use SP connect, the “Aluminium bike mount” one, which is little bit smaller than the one above.
I attached the universal interface to a Phonecase with stable backplate, using the 3M tape.
Stable solution, no concerns on the 3M-tape connection

ParticipantI prefer a Ram mount system which I have on my 401 installed in the mirror left mirror mount.
Since I went with bar end mirrors this worked for me. If you want to keep your stock mirror mounts then you can use this:MNNTHBX RAM Stem Nut for 2014+ KTM RC390
I like the simplicity of it but my riding habits don’t like looking lower than then speedometer.
A M10x1.25?(can’t remember please correct me if I am wrong) with a 1″ ball in the left mirror mount, a 3″ double socket arm to a x-grip.
The x-grip is probably the strongest phone holder out there (including the rubber tether) that will hold any sized phone.
Pros:
– will hold any sized phone
– holds my phone with regular case or thicker battery case
– simply unscrew the arm and take the x-grip off just leaving the unobtrusive ball when not in use
– will hold through any conditions and does not need tape or a proprietary phone holder.Cons:
– makes other riders jealous when they realise they picked the wrong phone holder. The best part of the Ram system is the scalability.
And it works with any phone.
And you don’t need tape.
Which may come undone in the cold or rain or heat or weight.March 26, 2019 at 8:30 am #4093caluz78
ParticipantI have bar end mirrors too… Do you know if there’s a ram mount in the mirror screw? I don’t know the exact measurement to fit in… I don’t like to remove my original stem nut…
Maybe this one: https://www.rammount.com/part/RAM-B-349U
thanks for your idea too!!
I’m evaluating all your ideas….

ParticipantI used a ram phablet mount. It uses the clamp and fits (barely) pretty clean…Buuuut…It flew out at an undisclosed speed and ran over by a semi. Spent $1000 on a dicey data recovery to get my honeymoon pictures back. So now, I have 17lb “diamond” Velcro on mount AND use a Velcro strap to hold it in mount. 5k miles the rubber boots are worn out.
My suggestion is to get that quad lock system, only drawback is you have to use their phone case, but look bulletproof. I don’t trust my ram at all anymore.

ParticipantCool!! But i don’t know if this can fit on 401 handlebar.. i think there’s not enough space.
The solution on post #2 fits better imho.

Guess so, I also had a chance to touch that version. Also very good quality, would say it will fit perfect from optic point of view to the 401.
