Recently i had the upleasant suprise to find out that the duke390 crash bars I bought don’t fit the Vit/Svartpilen.
I found those two:
somone here has the second ones on his svart if I remember right.
which ones do you think are the best of the two? or do you recommand an other model?

As I mentioned on your previous thread, you can use the Duke crash bars you already got if you swap the engine mounts, which would be much cheaper than getting a second set of bars.July 18, 2019 at 6:34 am #6030EzraParticipant
I’ve got these installedJuly 30, 2019 at 12:05 pm #6225ZapfParticipant
When you say engine mounts, you are talking about Engine mounting bolts? do you have information on specs for the new bolts? ThanksJanuary 15, 2020 at 7:48 pm #26730January 15, 2020 at 7:48 pm #26731

Anyone know if these will fit the 2019 svartpilen? They are made for the 390 Duke:

Hey anon, thanks for the pic. I ended up going with basically the same setup as you.
(I (carefully) laid my svart down on a flat surface and checked contact points, and it doesn’t look like many, if any, of the frame sliders and crash bars actually help out your contact points. looks like you’d end up with a trashed clutch case: left side, right side.)
X1: these are the these crash bars, and these duke engine brackets. (I spray painted my engine brackets black. I also found i needed an M10 bolt for the middle arm of the crash bar, rather than the M6 that they came with).May 14, 2020 at 12:54 pm #29064MidnaiteParticipant
I bought the Rizoma and installed them finally

@tpchuckles thanks for your input. i end up getting the same crash bars like you. however i run into some problem installing the radiator brackets, are you using the same one from svartpilen ? or duke 390’s. also do u happen to have the engine mount parts number ? cuz im not sure if we have 14 duke in the usa.

After going through these posts and seeing uncertainty around Duke 390 fittings, and aftermarket engine mounts I went ahead and bought a pair of specific Vitpilen/Svartpilen 401 engine guards from T-Rex racing.
They got here (AUS) really quick. It might be because its a naked bike, but I found it really quick to get them on too. The long cross bolt they supplied to go through the bottom mounting point was a tad too long so I couldn’t tighten it using a socket which was frustrating, especially since I had to basically guess the torque. I picked them cause I liked the shape and on flat ground they should take the impact before any other component. The replaceable aluminium sliders are a cool feature that I haven’t seen anywhere else before, and they look better than they photograph.
I also grabbed a radiator guard and front axle sliders. The radiator guard can be squished to allow the stock plastic side guard covers to reattach over the top, but it would have been nice if it were 1cm narrower either side to allow for that.September 17, 2020 at 8:35 pm #32068wingzeeParticipant
Does the T-Rex bars fit on the 2020?September 18, 2020 at 9:08 am #32089raggydollragsParticipant
I’ve got a 2018, so I’m not sure. Best to contact T-Rex directly and check with them before ordering.
