    Can’t you just remove the expander nut from the mirror and bolt it directly to that threaded part?

    @maxkool that could be possible.
    However, i would have to cut a bit off of the “bar adapter uni cap” (which is aluminum) :/

    i’d prefer the insert removal option since i might go for some bar end blinkers in the future.

    just noticed that i linked the wrong bar adapter in my initial post 😀

    here’s the right one:

    @wenny so half of the adapter is integrated with the mirror leg? that sucks.

    In that case I’d do my best to get that “thing” out.

    @maxkool if i cut off the black aluminum part of it that i marked in ‘red’ it would probably work out to just thread the remaining thing in without the expander:

    that would be my only last option if the ‘removal’ isn’t going to happen though.

    I made a post last night (not showing and “awaiting moderation”?) about some separate bar ends from Rhino Moto that are designed for the RC390, but appear to just have the threaded insert that should work with the 401s that also have the non-removable insert.  I’ll probably order a set if I decide to go with the CRG lanesplitter mirrors.

    I’ll add the link in the next post in case that’s what is causing it to be hidden.

    Threaded bar ends for KTM RC 390 that might work with the 2020 401s.  They also come in black and an assortment of end designs (flat, tapered, round).

    Good timing on this thread.  I noticed the same thing on my 2020 401.  That threaded insert is NOT coming out.  I’m planning on some CRG lane splitters, and using this bar end adapter for the KTM RC390 which appears like it’ll work for the threaded inserts with their bolt (or reusing our factor bolt).

    Hey @Dan00Hawk did those 390 Duke/RC390 Mirror Mounts end up working for you? Considering going this route as well.
