Ive intalled booster plug along with a cat eliminator  leo vince exhaust system and BMC air filter.

The bike sometimes goes into”safe mode” under load in top gear.

anyone else’s bike going into “safe” mode?

safe mode is a loss of power but no fault is registered on the dash.

it only happens under load in sixth gear.

I suspect the motor is not getting enough air. This as the Coober ECU has three EXTRA holes drilled into the air box ( before the filter) to allow for increased air intake demand

I will test to see if its solved the issue.

Ive intalled booster plug on two other bikes and never had a problem.

I was told by my dealer,  that booster plug does not work at all.  It use to work 15 years ago.

Also coober seams to be somehow linked to ktm, our dealer use their power kit on the demo 701 svartpilen.  Very powerful setup.

My experience is that booster plug does work. And works well

    I solved the faulting issue

It was in the end it was an air supply issue.

It was solved by drilling three holes into the air box.

The bike goes really well now.

Lots of fun to ride and no faults.

isn’t drilling air holes in the airbox is the same as running it without an air filter? this is bad for the engine.

The coober air intake cover have foam filter added to it.

No, you can run the bike without the filter cover without problems. The cover is on the dirty side of the filter. So all the air going into the engine still goes through the filter.

As far as I understood from the pirate racing video, the bike does not run with the cover removed. It does give a decent boost in power and torque in the midrange.

sorry you’re correct its different for the 701,

I have the 401 and last time I checked the cover is on the clean side,  opening the air box looking inwards towards the middle part of the engine, you can see the intake valve and looking down is where the air filter sit and following underneath the air filter is a scoop for fresh air
