Saw this bike in person yesterday at the Motorcycle Live show in Birmingham UK. It looks very nice, the blue is deep and darker indoors than it looks on the outside photos. Pity they didn’t have any of the other 2020 bikes on the stand. When I asked, they said the rest of the 2020 bike would be at the London show in Feb.

wish they made it black/blue, the white in the rear is a dirt magnet. especially since i love rain riding.

I just bought a 2020 701 Vitpilen today, I pick it up Thursday.  I’m excited to compare it to my 2014 690 Duke.  The color of the 2020 really closed the deal for me.

The 2020 models are on sale already?

Anyone know if the 2020 Svartpilen 401 is actually available to buy yet?

Yes the 2020 models are starting to trickle in.  The dealer I purchased from didn’t have any 2020 401s, in fact they told me the only 2020 they had came in last week and I snagged it today.

My local dealer has a 2020 Svartpilen 701.

Looks identical to the 2019 Svartpilen 701 “Style”.

Despite the original post here, I gotta say I’m actually a bit disappointed. I shouldn’t say disappointed, but more so just less amazed.

The Akront spoked wheels are apparently quite a bit heavier than the cast wheels. It does add a bit to the neo retro vibe, but o net it was a cost saving effort since barely any of these bikes are selling for near MSRP.
Also has different brake rotors carrier designs.

    Glad I have the 2019.

The 2019 SP701 ‘Style’ edition had bar-end mirrors, the 2020 SP701 doesn’t. I’m not sure if there are other differences too?
