ichbinbier – Yep, saw that in the 701 manual as well. However, it doesn’t say what the max recommended rpm is.
It only says that during the running-in phase, the rpm should not exceed 6,000 during the first 1,000 km and 7,800 after the first 1,000 km. But it doesn’t say how long the running-in phase is considered to be and if 7,800 is the maximum rpm “forever”… If so, it would seem somewhat strange that Husqvarna themselves set the redlight at about 10,000 on their demo bike.
I know that for Ducati Scrambler, the manual says up to 5,500-6,000 during the first 1,000 km and up to 7,000 between 1,000 and 2,500 km. And maximum rpm 9,200. For Yamaha MT-07, it is up to 5,000 the first 1,000 km, up to 6,000 between 1,000 and 1,600 km, and up to 10,000 rpm after that.
